'Jekyll': S01E01

Tom Jackman, with the aid of a young nurse called Katherine and a Dictaphone, is trying to track the movements of his vicious alter ego. When the transformation takes place, his eyes blacken and so does his behaviour. He can’t control when the change happens however…

Tom’s estranged wife Claire reveals that she has been tracking her husband’s movements via a private detective agency to find out more about the circumstances surrounding his departure. She said she’d understand more if it was to be with another woman.

After undergoing a sudden transformation into his alter-ego Hyde, Tom wakes up with a prostitute and pays her before heading off to see his former boss to announce that he cannot return to work.

Curious about what the detective agency has really discovered, Tom visits its owner Miranda but learns little. Hyde emerges later that night, snapping the neck of a young man called Billy who pulled a knife on him, and tries to imbibes plenty of alcohol in a pub in order to give Tom a nasty hangover. After pulling a young lass, Hyde is invited over to meet a mysterious man called Benjamin who claims to be his owner. Hyde dismisses this and puts Benjamin’s burly bodyguard through a window.

Tom meets Miranda to uncover the truth about what she discovered, but a change takes place, with Miranda mentioning that Tom has a family with kids. Hyde, posing as Tom’s cousin Billy, pays Claire and her children a visit. Tom is horrified to discover this the next day, fearing for their safety…
