S01E04

We’re taken via a flashback to the first romantic rendez-vous between Tom and Claire. At a dinner party they hit it off, with more than a little help from Tom’s shoes. They soon seal the deal and become a couple, although trouble rears its head when the pair are harassed by some thugs as they walk along a pier.

The lead thug takes Tom’s ice cream and smothers it over Claire’s chest, with Tom failing to act. Later though, his alter-ego emerges and savages the miscreants.

In the present day, Tom is still locked inside the metallic casing and being brought into the Institute, accompanied by his fearful wife. She is also unaware of the whereabouts of her children, but Peter assures her that he is only working in the world’s best scientific interests.

Miranda, the private detective, arrives at the Institute armed with questions and is initially denied entry. However, Peter lets her in once she mentions the password of Winston Churchill.

The episode concludes with the contents of the metallic box, which Tom/Hyde was bundled into, about to be opened in front of the aghast Claire…
