According to Doctor Who Magazine, the following six stories will make up the show's fourth series:
* S04E01/E02: 'The Nightmare Man' by Joseph Lidster
* S04E03/E04: 'The Vault of Secrets' by Phil Ford
* S04E05/E06: 'Death of the Doctor' by Russell T Davies
* S04E07/E08: 'The Empty Planet' by Gareth Roberts
* S04E09/E10: 'Lost in Time' by Rupert Laight
* S04E11/E12: 'Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith' by Gareth Roberts and Clayton Hickman
Julian Bleach, who previously played Davros in parent series Doctor Who, will guest star as the Nightmare Man in the first two-parter.
Cheryl Campbell, Cyril Nri and former Survivors star Julie Graham are also due to appear.
It was previously announced that Matt Smith would guest star as the Doctor in episodes five and six, alongside former Doctor Who companion Katy Manning, who will return as Jo Grant.
The fourth series of The Sarah Jane Adventures is expected to air on BBC One and the CBBC Channel from the autumn.
