When Tom Baker left Doctor Who, I was emotionally distraught for hours afterwards. My whole world had been turned upside down - how 'dare' the BBC replace the greatest Doctor ever on BBC with some blonde haired 'kid'!!! He'll be rubbish, said I. A few months ago, I was discussing this with my mates at work and we agreed I was truly 'sad' to get as upset as I did. I keep watching and re-watching THAT speech from the end of the 'Planet of the Dead' as well as the trailers for 'Waters of Mars' and I find myself heading towards the same feelings. I'm 41 for Chrissakes !!!!!

I found it very moving and emotional - but I didn't cry. I don't think you can really say that everyone that voted no as being left emotionally cold by it...

All this rubbish on DS about respecting an opinion but even the editor can't handle the fact that we didn't pander to his way of thinking. Least we know how this place is being run. (joke?!? -Neil)

Brilliant analyse above Digital Spy , of the results. I can't wait for The Waters Of Mars next week. Only 7 days to go. I wonder what other surprises Digtal Spy have for us. Maybe something revealing the Christmas Special.

Even though I haven't seen TSJA yet, I guarantee I'll be crying my eyes out when the last two Tennant's Doctor episodes are done!

I agree with Matt. The bit where Sarah Jane turned around and explain to everyone that Peter was gone was much sadder than the "you'll never be forgotten bit".

i'll admit to crying, but it wasn't Tennant that brought it on it was the final scene shared between Sarah Jane and Peter Dalton that was just so heartbreaking

I'm hardly dead on the inside, just because I didn't weep. Whilst it was a lovely poignant moment, it was hardly written for maximum emotional devestation, was it. I mean, really it was Ceebeebee's, for gods sake!

I didn't cry, because I was so intensely focused on what was happening, and if I cried I would've missed it. Maybe a repeat will set the waterworks off. And Vincent, yeh like The Doc himself we're.... not cat people.

Hey Ed, don't bring animals into it. We love our animals. I didn't cry because it just wasn't moving enough for me. I'm sure the final DT episode will be moving and I hope you run a poll on that. I have a nasty feeling it will involve writing out Wilf and Donna. I love these two characters.

I think you'll find us "emotionally cold" people prefer to see kittens run over, rather than puppies.
