S02E01

In the bowling alley of a shopping mall, an anomaly appears. A security guard on a night shift goes to investigate behind the bowling lanes but is dragged off by mysterious creature. The same beast then drags off another guard from within the mall.

At the Anomaly Research Centre (ARC), a disorientated Nick Cutter tries to convince the others that the world has changed since his last trip back in time. He meets Lester's new assistant Oliver Leek, but Connor is the only one to believe his tales of Claudia Brown.

The team head to the mall armed with tranquiliser guns and find CCTV footage of a raptor in the mall. Stephen is attacked but Cutter doesn't shoot the raptor at first, leading Stephen to believe it was his anger over the revelation that he had an affair with his wife Helen. However, Cutter claims the trigger was jammed. Stephen later discovers that Cutter was telling the truth before he succesfully shoots the raptor.

Abby and Connor find a bay raptor in the locker rooms, with the latter accidentally tranquilising his colleague before hitting the real target.

The sleeping baby and older raptors are placed together near the anomaly in a bid to lure out the father of the family, but when he does turn up he munches the baby and fails to react to the tranquilisers. The raptor runs off to the car park, with Stephen and Cutter luring him back inside the mall after borrowing some motorbikes from some local miscreants. Upon his return, Connor successfully shoots the raptor.

Cutter figures out that anomalies can be traced by radio signals, then drags the sleeping raptors through the anomaly and decides not to return. However, Stephen joins him and persuades him to return, although the raptors wake up and chase them back to the anomaly. Upon returning to the ARC, Cutter is introduced to a new member of the team - Jennifer Lewis. The twist is that she looks exactly like Claudia Brown.
