BBC reveals 'Ashes To Ashes' details
Details of the second season of Ashes To Ashes have been revealed by the BBC, with filming currently underway.

Set in 1982 against the background of the Falklands conflict, the series will see the return of all the major cast members - Philip Glenister, Keeley Hawes, Dean Andrews, Marshall Lancaster and Montserrat Lombard.

Producer Beth Willis stated: "The new series moves in a slightly different direction and we’re really looking forward to developing the characters and Alex’s journey further.

"Gene and Alex’s relationship is so complex; it is very sparky and they obviously care for each other in a grudging manner so it’ll be interesting to see how this evolves."

Willis also disclosed that the addition of an important new character to the show will cause conflict among the team, saying: "When force legend DS 'Supermac' Macintosh (Roger Allam) starts working with the team it looks as if Gene’s equilibrium could be broken.”
