What's next for 'Prison Break'?

Published Wednesday, Jul 23 2008, 15:44 BST | By Neil Wilkes | 9 comments
It's been a while since we heard anything about Prison Break, hasn't it?

Well, with the premiere now a little over a month away, details of season four are beginning to emerge.

As the third season finale suggested, Michael becomes hellbent on taking revenge against the Company - and Gretchen in particular.

Joining Lincoln in Los Angeles, Michael is shocked to discover that Sara is actually alive. The pair then strike a deal with the US Government to guarantee their immunity, teaming up with Homeland Security agent Don Self to find Sara and bring down the Company. Also on their team are Mahone, Sucre and Bellick, all of whom come together to break into a maximum security facility housing the Company.

And what about T-Bag? Well, rumour has it that he possesses a "vital clue" that Michael needs for his latest challenge. Whistler's bird book, maybe?

Cant wait for season 4.It's gonna be wicked.Sara's back!!!!!!Yay.Im so happy.I really missed her in season 3.This season is gonna be fantastic absolutley fantastic. The writers and actors/actresses are amazing. They make the show what it is.I hope they make more seasons because Prison Break never has a dull moment. It's so gripping. It always has you on the edge of your seat. You never know or expect half the things that happen. It's brilliant!

For me Prison Break was always about that - the Prison Break and the attempts to clear Lincoln's name whilst surviving on the run. Trouble for me is they did this (but you hardly noticed) off camera and didn't make a big deal out of it (this for me is where PB should have ended - whether they stretched it out for another couple of series or not). Instead they had the whole story taking a huge turn with the second imprisonment etc which for me hasn't worked well at all. Still good for some entertainment but not a must see anymore.

Give me a break, this show jumped the shark somewhere near the start of the second series. Anyone still watching it has an unnerving ability to entirely suspend disbelief. The first series was fine, although maybe it stretched the plot over too many episodes throwing in too many twists as a result. The second seemed to exist only to extend the franchise. Don't get me started on the third ...

I can't wait for season 4. The last season was so tense i was barely able to sit on my seat but this looks even more exciting and i am so happy that michael finds out Sara is still alive. It beggars belief how they can keep this show going but somehow they have managed to find a way to continue the story and for some reason it actually works so yeah im so glad they are making more episodes. It's just one of the best 'On The Edge Of Your Seat' dramas i have ever watched.

i used to be pure obsessed with this show. watch episodes every night. but i think its game over for this show and the should have finished at season 2. first 2 seasons were brilliant,,but during the end of 2,,it bagan to lose focus, and 3 was not good. please,,just end it now. i love the first season and most of the second one,so please dont ruin the good name this show has by dragging it out!!

obviously anyone who reads up on prison break will know that sara is coming back but if not then those trailors kind of ruin the surprise

I'm kind of hoping this will be the last series. I thought S3 was good, but I feel it needs to come to a definite conclusion rather then be axed because it's got dull. S4 should wrap up all the lose ends in my mind.

I cannot wait for a new FULL series, the mistake of making tancredi absent rather than filmong around a bump will be repaid and i think series 4 should round up the story and sent the boys into the sunset, but only after addressing how innocent they now are after all they have done......
