“ Spooks: Code 9 ”
DS readers unhappy with 'Spooks' spinoff
Published Tuesday, Aug 12 2008, 08:40 BST | By Ben Rawson-Jones

The first two episodes of the youth-orientated thriller, set in a radiation-filled 2013 England, achieved a strong start in the ratings on Sunday night. However, viewers flooded Digital Spy's new Spooks: Code 9 section with scathing reviews immediately after transmission.
Dave from St. Albans branded the show "Spooks 90210" and called it "awful... a waste of my time", while Cheltenham-based Sue argued that "both episodes lacked credibilty and [were] about as energetic as an asthmatic ant carrying heavy shopping".
Buckinghamshire reader Stuart said he thought the BBC "couldn't produce anything as bad as Bonekickers - but this one has managed it".
Jay from Manchester added that he fears the main Spooks show on BBC One could be affected, urging the makers to "take out the Spooks name which we all care about, [as] the franchise is being ruined".
