'Glee' hits new high of 1.3 million

Glee hit a new high for E4 last night, early viewing figures show.

The latest instalment - episode 10 - pulled in an impressive 1.25m (5.2%), making it the most-watched programme on the multichannel stations. A further 255k (1.5%) tuned in on timeshift.

The previous high for the season came during the Monday, February 16 episode, which logged 1.21m (4.9%).

Elsewhere, the third instalment of ITV1's Married, Single, Other dipped to 3.95m (16.4%), down slightly on last week's performance. It was beaten during the 9pm hour by a repeat of BBC One's New Tricks, which had 4.23m (17.5%).

The Secret Millionaire logged 2.56m (10.6%) for Channel 4, 1.61m (6.7%) tuned in for A Band For Britain on BBC Two, and For A Few Dollars More averaged 1.48m (8.4%) for Five between 9pm and 11.30pm.

Earlier, at 8pm, Lambing Live interested 2.61m (10.3%) for BBC Two, Five's The Gadget Show took 1.49m (5.9%), and Channel 4's Dispatches managed 910k (3.6%).

The Lakes drew 15.9% for ITV1 between 8pm and 8.30pm, and 2.52m (9.9%) watched Panorama at 8.30pm on BBC One.

Overall, ITV1 came top during primetime with an average share of 23.6% to BBC One's 20.5%. BBC Two was third with 7.3%, followed by Channel 4 with 5.7% (+1: 0.7%) and Five's 5.3%.
