When 'The O.C.' met 'Vampire Diaries'...

Not content with bedding Caroline and cracking on to his brother's girlfriend, Damon Salvatore has set his sights on a new lady - Marissa's mum from The O.C.!
In an upcoming episode (March 25 - make a note), Melinda Clarke arrives in Mystic Falls as Matt's estranged mother who, much like Julie Cooper-Nichol, has a thing for toyboys. (Actually, we're not sure the forever-dead Damon counts as a boy toy, but she's probably unaware of his vampiric state anyway.)
The Vampire Diaries continues Thursdays at 8pm on The CW in the US and Tuesdays at 9pm on ITV2 in the UK.
