Q&A: 'Betty', 'Greek', 'Apparitions'

Neil: The BBC does still have the rights to the second half of Greek season one (which they're classing as season two, just for confusion's sake). It's not in the schedule yet but is "definitely" going to air later this year or next year on BBC Three.

Neil: Zone has picked up all nine seasons of The Crest but is opting to stagger them out a bit, so seasons six to nine are being kept back until next year. Better a bit late than never, eh?

Neil: Well I'm not entirely sure that the argument that a show is better than Demons should guarantee it a recommission. Unfortunately the people at the BBC are of the same mindset and have decided not to go ahead with a second run of the controversial drama. "In spite of a great cast and production team, Apparitions did not find its audience in the way that we had hoped," a spokeswoman told me. "We remain very proud of it but it will not be returning for another series."

Neil: I used to love CMT too, Jackie. I'd watch it every Sunday morning without fail as I munched on a sausage sarnie and perused the 'papers. Unfortunately MTV took the axe to the European version of the station (it's still on air in the US) in 1998 amid lacklustre ratings. There were rumours of a comeback a few years ago, but for now the most you can expect is a trio of country audio stations on Music Choice.
