Davies: 'My OBE is good for British TV'

The Welshman, who was recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours, told the BBC: "I'm delighted to accept, and I hope it does the whole industry a bit of good, for the writing of television drama to be recognised."
A spokesman for the BBC commented: "We are delighted for Russell - he is one of this country's greatest writers and it is fantastic that his talent has been recognised in this way."
Davies was credited with reviving the cult sci-fi show Doctor Who in 2005. He has also written Casanova, Queer As Folk and Touching Evil.
