Published Monday, Jun 30 2008, 13:34 BST | By Ben Rawson-Jones

Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine, Davies revealed: "To be honest, I wasn't in a rush because sometimes, in those old stories, Davros would dominate the Daleks to the extent that they became simple foot soldiers there to do his bidding - like plain robots instead of the scheming geniuses that they are."
"But I've had three years to establish their intelligence," Davies continued. "It's time to bring back their creator and see what happens. It has given the legend time to build."
