'Dr Who' director "blown away" by Davros
Published Thursday, Jul 24 2008, 08:50 BST | By Ben Rawson-Jones

Speaking to TV Zone, veteran director Harper said: "I met him just after Christmas and was blown away... this bloke has got something that comes right through the mask.
"He's the Davros that we all know and have seen before and yet there is something fresh and different about him."
He added: "Russell [T. Davies] said, 'I don't want him portrayed as an old professorial type. I want an elegant soldier, a military man. I want to know that this man was someone brilliant, who's now decaying, but he's someone who still has command'. That's what Julian brought to it."
