Kimberley Nixon rules out 'Doctor Who'

Cranford star Kimberley Nixon has dismissed reports linking her to a role in Doctor Who.

The actress, 23, insisted that she had made no contact with the BBC show, despite tabloid rumours suggesting otherwise.

"Absolutely nothing [is happening with Doctor Who]," she told Metro. "They film in my home town so it would be good from a convenience point of view. I haven't heard anything - just what I've read in the papers."

She added: "I haven't even auditioned."
