'Doctor Who' Tardis sold for over £10,000

A Doctor Who Tardis has sold for over £10,000 at auction.

The prop, used by Christopher Eccleston, was expected to reach about £8,000 in the Bonham's sale but eventually fetched £10,800.

The Mirror reports that a Tardis model made for an exhibition sold for £900 and a Cyberman helmet from 1967 went for £7,800.

Elsewhere, two Daleks from the 1960s fetched £4,800 each and a model of K-9 eventually sold for £1,200.

The current series of Doctor Who concludes on Saturday at 6.05pm on BBC One.
