Nicky Wire clarifies 'Who' script plans

The Manics Street Preachers bassist last week revealed that he is working on a script about Dylan Thomas's final days for the sci-fi show.
Writing on Twitter today, Wire explained that the work is a piece of fan-fiction, saying: "Just to clarify I havent been asked by the bbc im just satisfying my own desire to write a script for dr who as a fan of the show x (sic)."
In November 2009, Wire revealed his Top 5 Doctors to be - in order - John Pertwee, Christopher Eccelston, Paul McGann, Peter Davison and David Tennant.
Meanwhile, the band used the social networking site to reveal further details about the planned special edition of their upcoming album Postcards From A Young Man.
"All the demos for the bonus cd are sorted sounding young and hopeful x," they said. "2cds, one 7inch, digital bundle all with new non album tracks I think thats it! xx"
