Whithouse to pen Walliams 'Who' ep

Being Human creator Toby Whithouse has been confirmed to pen an episode of this year's Doctor Who series.

Digital Spy can confirm that Whithouse, who already has two positively-received episodes of the sci-fi drama to his name, will write episode eleven of the 2011 series, which is likely to air in the autumn.

Matt Smith also announced today at the Doctor Who Experience launch that David Walliams - who is allegedly portraying a cowardly alien called Gibbis - will guest star in the same episode.

Whithouse has previously penned the alien-heavy 'School Reunion' in 2006 and 'The Vampires of Venice' last year.
