Born in 1948, Elisabeth Sladen went on to steal the hearts of Doctor Who fans around the world. As investigative journalist Sarah Jane Smith, Sladen served alongside Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, David Tennant and more recently Matt Smith.

In 2007, Sladen landed her very own spinoff series, which went on to feature guest-appearances from both Tennant and Smith, as well as seeing Katy Manning reprise her role as Jo Grant.
