The Tenth Doctor - rumoured to be guest-starring in the sci-fi drama's 50th anniversary year - admitted however that Billie Piper's reluctance to appear could prove "problematic".
"I'll always be able to come back in the alternate world because the Doctor will age like a normal human," he told The Sun.
"Billie probably wouldn't come back and that's what would be problematic. It's always possible but I can't tell you if there are any plans yet."
Current Time Lord Matt Smith recently renewed his call for Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston to make a reappearance.
David Tennant, who made his Who exit in 2010, previously told G4's Attack of the Show that he has retained a number of his iconic pinstripe suits.
The 41-year-old added: "I do have the pinstripe suits in a very secure location. I have one of everything that I wore. They were given to me at the end.
"They are in hermetically sealed suit bags which I have got squirrelled away somewhere," he then joked.
"I hope the moths haven't got in. I could be in for nasty surprise when I go to look for them."
