Piper may live to regret quitting 'Dr Who'

The actress, who quit the show last year after two series working with both David Tennant and Christopher Ecclestone, told the Sunday Telegraph that she pondered her career moves for a long time before coming to a decision.
"I loved it so much," she said. "But I knew that if I didn't go then I would always be scared to leave, and then I wouldn't have tried other things. Of course, it could still turn out to be a really bad choice. But I think it's going to be ok."
Piper has been busy filming Jane Austen's Mansfield Park for ITV, and added that she is happy working in smaller projects these days, and has no longing to make it big in the film industry: "I am no longer bothered about being famous. All those dreams I had about being a big film star, or winning an Oscar - I've let go of them."
