Daleks conquer 'scariest villain' poll

The official Doctor Who website has revealed the results of their poll of 21,000 readers, with the metallic monsters from the planet Skaro topping the list ahead of their return to the series on Saturday. Gas mask zombies from 'The Empty Child/The Doctor Dancers' - famous for their 'are you my mummy?' line - trailed in second place.
The Cybermen failed to delete enough opposition to land a top three spot, with The Beast from 'The Satan Pit' nabbing third place. The list in full:
