The Prince and the Duchess will meet Who stars Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman, plus showrunner Steven Moffat and crew members, in the first Royal visit to Roath Lock studios since they officially opened in March 2012.

Their tour will include a visit to the production office, where they will meet the show's costume designer, storyboard artist, locations manager, graphics artist, set decorator and production designer with displays from each of the skills areas.

Their Royal Highnesses will then take a trip onto the TARDIS set, before being introduced to a number of the show's iconic monsters - a Weeping Angel, a Cyberman, an Ood and the Daleks, with Dalek voice artist Nicholas Briggs on hand.

In the final stage of the tour, the Prince and the Duchess will be shown a display against a green screen, demonstrated by SFX, before meeting some Skillset apprentices who are training at Roath Lock in a number of TV functions.

Doctor Who will return to BBC One for its 50th anniversary special on Saturday, November 23.
