Freema refutes 'Doctor Who' axe rumours
Doctor Who star Freema Agyeman has debunked tabloid rumours that she is being axed from the hit show.

The actress, who plays latest companion Martha Jones, told ITN at Glamour magazine's 'Woman of the Year' awards: "I'm not axed, put it that way. I haven't been sacked."

Addressing the question of whether she has been affected by the claims, which put her recent performances under the spotlight, Agyeman admitted: "[Yes], for about five minutes... but then you know that you're not gonna have 100% of people... all the time."

Agyeman, who was at the awards ceremony to pick up the 'Best Newcomer' accolade, added: "What is important is that the fans are enjoying [the show]."
