Paul McGann keen on 'Doctor Who' return

Former Doctor Who star Paul McGann would happily portray the eighth incarnation on the Time Lord on television again if he is asked.
Speaking to SyFy Portal, the 47-year-old actor admitted that the BBC hasn't contacted him, dispelling recent suggestions that he may return for a multi-Doctor story. "Well, they haven’t called me, but often you hear it first through rumour. But you know… I’d go back and do it… as long as I don’t have to wear a wig."
McGann took on the role of The Doctor for the 1996 television movie, with plans for a full series to follow in a joint production between the BBC and the Fox network. However, despite impressive UK ratings, the venture failed to attract a significant American audience and more instalments were not commissioned. McGann has since played the iconic Time Lord in a number of radio plays.
