The second season story 'The Girl In The Fireplace' was named the Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form at the ceremony, taking place at the 65th World Science Fiction Convention, in Yokohama, Japan. The episode's writer Steven Moffat also won the award last year for his wartime adventure 'The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances'.
Named after Hugo Gernsback, founder of science fiction magazine Amazing Stories, the annual awards have been held for over five decades. They are designed to celebrate the previous year's best science fiction or fantasy works in the fields of literature, film and television.
