The Office star Mackenzie Crook has revealed that he wants to be the next Doctor.
The actor, who also appeared in Pirates Of The Caribbean, is keen to replace current Time Lord David Tennant when he decides to step down from the hit BBC show.
Crook has been considered for roles in the series in the past, but said they did not work out due to other commitments.
He said: "I think I'd be a good Doctor. I'll just have to wait for David Tennant to abdicate."
The BBC recently confirmed that Peter Davison will reprise his role as the fifth Doctor for a special Children In Need instalment of the show.
