Pullman keen to write for 'Doctor Who'

The popular writer told the BBC's Newsround that penning a story for the family show "sounds like enormous fun".
Pullman also praised the calibre of the revived series, stating that "since Russell T. Davies came back and started having a hand in it, [it] has been wonderful. I've really enjoyed it. David Tennant is terrific. Billie Piper was wonderful as Rose."
He also affirmed his belief that 'Doomsday', the second season finale, contains material similar to his own work. "I was flattered by it. That's how stories work. Stories are made out of other stories. I borrowed things for His Dark Materials. He [Russell T. Davies] took my ending and twisted it to fit his story."
