David Tennant discusses Kylie kiss

David Tennant has joked about filming the widely reported kiss with Kylie Minogue for the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special.

Addressing suggestions that he cheekily forgot his lines during the snogging scene in a bid to have more retakes of the kiss, the actor told the Daily Record: "I am very professional in all things - I just go and the director tells me to stop. There were a lot of things wrong that day - it was nothing to do with me."

Tennant then rhetorically quipped: "If you had Kylie on the show, would you have her kiss The Doctor?"

The time-travelling drama's producer Phil Collinson also shed more light on the on-screen relationship: "There's great chemistry... Kylie's character [Astrid] and The Doctor bond quickly in a slightly flirty way."
