'Doctor Who' trailer premieres in UK cinemas
Published Friday, Feb 1 2008, 00:02 GMT | By Ben Rawson-Jones

The 90-second trailer is part of a deal between the BBC and Carlton Screen Advertising and will exclusively be shown before new films such as Cloverfield and Rambo at Odeon, Cineworld and Empire cinemas.
Naomi Gibney, head of marketing at BBC Vision, said: "This is a great opportunity for the BBC to reach new audiences with an exciting preview of the new series of Doctor Who."
This is not the first time the new incarnation of Doctor Who has been promoted via cinemas. Big screen trailers for the recent Christmas Special 'The Voyage Of The Damned' were shown last December.
The fourth series of Doctor Who will be screened on BBC One this spring.
