BBC announces 'Doctor Who' trailer debut
A trailer for the new series of Doctor Who will be shown for the first time on television on Saturday, March 22.

The BBC announced the premiere on the show's official website, although the launch date for the upcoming fourth season has yet to be confirmed. The trailer has previously been seen in UK cinemas, screening before films such as Cloverfield.

The 90-second trailer heavily features returning companion Donna Noble, played by Catherine Tate, along with glimpses of both Freema Agyeman and Billie Piper reprising their roles as Martha Jones and Rose Tyler respectively. In addition, there are shots of returning monsters The Ood and the warmongering Sontarans.

In December, a similar marketing strategy was adopted by the BBC when it promoted the Doctor Who Christmas special 'The Voyage Of The Damned' on the big screen, followed by an airing on television.
