BBC launches 'Doctor Who' trailer maker
Published Friday, May 9 2008, 16:10 BST | By Ben Rawson-Jones

Web users can splice a range of video footage, sound effects and music together using the Trailer Maker on bbc.co.uk/doctorwho, with fresh content to be added on a weekly basis following the transmission of episodes in the current series. The trailers can be stored on the website for up to six months and are easily shared with fellow fans and friends.
The website's producer Rob Francis hailed the innovation: “Users of the site have always been incredibly imaginative and we’re extremely keen to encourage more of that creativity. Hopefully the Trailer Maker is something we can develop in the future to offer users many more exciting possibilities.”
