Moffett feared 'Doctor Who' role was a joke

Moffett, whose real-life father Peter Davison played the fifth incarnation of The Doctor, told Digital Spy about her amazement at landing the role as the fictional Doctor's daughter: "I thought it was a joke! I thought someone was going 'We're really going to mess her up here - let's give her an amazing script and whip it away at the last minute'."
"If I'd had to write my ideal part in an episode of Doctor Who it would have been that script that I read," the actress stated. "I was reading it in shock and then I had to read it again and I gave it to my dad to read."
Soon to be seen in Spooks spinoff Code 9, Moffett added: "I spent the whole five weeks I was doing it in a daze that I was there. I didn't quite believe it. I still don't quite believe it. The first day I arrived there they took me to Make-Up via the inside of the Tardis. I was just going 'oh my God!'"
