A sneak peek at the 'Doctor Who' finale
Published Tuesday, Jun 22 2010, 15:16 BST | By Chris Allen | 44 comments
As has become standard practice, no-one in the press has seen advance previews of this week's Doctor Who finale for fear of obscene spoilerage. But we have managed to get hold of a sneak preview clip. And grab your tissues, because it's a bit of a weepy.
"How's Amy?" you cry. Still rather dead, we're afraid. Here's hoping for a miracle. Click 'play' below to hear RoboRory's touching eulogy (murderer!):
Do miracles happen? Leave your tear-stained comments below!

Good god I'm breathless! What a finish!!! The Doctor lives! River lives! Amy lives! Rory lives! The daleks live! Everyone lives! What an incredible whirlwind the final 3 episodes were, from the raw emotion of Vincent to the tense suspense of Pandorica to the madness of the timey wimey Big Bang! Loved it, loved it it, LOVED IT! But who was the voice? What did River mean about everything changing? And how bloody frustrating is it that TubeTalk is never ready for comments until Monday morning so I have to comment here where no one will see it?!

@ theTyke - new daleks are like the differnce between old mini and BMW mini. Same design cues but too big, too brash and missing the point. Old mini was small and cheap- a true "everyman" car, new mini, cool but expensive and twice the size. Old Daleks were fun, couldn't climb stairs but were scary. New daleks, cool design but no where near as scary.

Amy, on June 25th 2010 Well I've just listened to the end three times on iPlayer, and I can't see how the music conveys that Amy is back??

Hello people! Did you even watch the video? Listen to the music at the end, it practically confirms it- AMY IS BACK.

This is a interesting trailer and I liked it also when Moffat said that he wasn't much into writing the new series , like me!I am really looking forward to seeing what is going to happen now in the FINALE (though what is the bet that The Doctor saves the day).

I think Rory has been massively underused - but I love him. Amy has to come back, Karen's signed on for next year. :D

I think shockingly quickly Matt has made the Doctor his own, even my son (who was in tears at tennant leaving) is now saying David Who.I think the writing and acting this series has been excellent, and shows that the series (as is it's central core) has to change and move on to survive. The time was right for the revamp as it had quickly grown tired. RTD era was excellent but by the end had run its course. This new series has for me been a revelation and long may smith stay in the role, he has been excellent. ps it would be nice to see the companion last more than a couple of series as well, sick of having a bedding in season for them to move on.

James B i agree with you.People complain that Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are rubbish actors but their not. These two should win lots of awards because their both amazing as the doctor and Amy.It's simple if people don't like Matt and Karen then why the hell do they continue to watch, they should switch off.The doctor will save Amy,thats quiet clear and he will make everything ok with Rory.

I don't know how people can say Matt and Karen are bad actors, if you've seen them both on other TV shows you'd know that they are fantastic actors. I don't see why people have to be so negative about this series, if you don't like it just stop watching, no body's forcing you to watch the show. It's clear that Amy will live as she's been confirmed to return for the Christmas special and the sixth series, I think the BBC should have tried to keep that quiet since I didn't find her 'death' that shocking, lol.I'm very much looking forward to the next episode, will be interesting to see how Mr Moffat ties up all the loose ends.

Hi Kriss, Shaun didn't mention he had a problem with the colour of the Daleks but their redisign. I'm with Shaun on this one. Colour isn't a problem, as you say they've been different colours in the past, but these bigger and more bloated Daleks seem clumsy and less threatening. If they had to be redesigned I'd have preferred them to go either with a more 'nuts and bolts' patched up look, or if they had to be taller I'd have gone with the movie style Daleks...suckers and claws optional.

*Sigh* poor, tragic, adorable Rory. You're far too good for that Amy.

Kozy Powell, how you can say poorly acted is beyond me. Matt Smith has proven to be an outstanding Doctor, and Karen Gillan has proved she can act aswell... just the lack of depth to her character frustrates people, me included, but im starting to think we were meant to feel like that all along! I mean this is all about her now, and we're really learning about who and what Amy is!This has been the best season in a long time, except for one or two episodes which werent too good, The opening two were great, third was a bit poor, fourth and fifth were excellent, the sixth wasnt as good, Amy's Choice was again outstanding, the Silurian two-parter was a bit iffy, but Vincent and the Doctor onwards have all been EXCEPTIONAL! and im sure the finale will be even better.
