Showrunner Steven Moffat defiantly stamped his mark on a new era and a much darker future for Matt Smith's Doctor and tied up much of the mystery surrounding Alex Kingston's River Song.
But, with nearly 10,000 of you voting, we can reveal that the climactic episode was not quite as well received as last year's 'The Big Bang'.
Even so, the story was still extremely popular, with nearly half of you - 48.8% - giving it full marks.
Meanwhile, 23.6% thought it was decent, 14.8% felt satisfied, 6.5% were left disappointed, and 6.3% clicked 'Awful'.
Using Tube Talk's magic formula, we can reveal that Digital Spy readers gave 'The Wedding of River Song' a score of 8.2 out of 10.
