'Doctor Who' 50th anniversary: What do you want to see?

By
Doctor Who's 50th birthday is fast approaching and here's what we know for certain we're getting in this golden anniversary year - eight new episodes starring Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman plus an impressive line-up of big-name guest stars, a BBC Two biopic charting the sci-fi drama's 1960s origins and a special episode - filmed in 3D - to mark the anniversary itself on November 23.

But with full details regarding the celebrations yet to emerge, here's where we take a little time to speculate and ask you what you'd like to see from Doctor Who this year.

> Doctor Who anniversary will be "absolutely enormous", says BBC exec

Are you hoping that Steven Moffat has penned a multi-Doctor story for the 50th, bringing Matt Smith together with his predecessors? Do you want to see another appearance from the Daleks? Or The Master?

Or should a more obscure Who enemy be brought out of retirement? Should old companions - Billie Piper's Rose Tyler or John Barrowman's Captain Jack - return for a birthday cameo?

Would the anniversary be the perfect time for a regeneration? Or do you want to hang onto the fantastic Matt Smith a while longer yet?

And outside of the television series itself, what else would you like to see for the 50th? A national tour? A repeat season of classic episodes? Documentaries and retrospectives?
