I can't wait to see whatever he is in and i'm sure it will be Fantastic Fantastic Fantastic. I love the bit he says about Scott, it's so lovely. That's why i love this man. I can't wait to read his and Carole's book series, and their Torchwood Novel. He's my favourite man in the whole world and i can't wait to see what the future bring. If John says he's not telling. Leave it as that :) but my heart says yes. He's in it. I hope he is anyway. I love this man!

Oh I am sure he'll return to WHO, after all Steven Moffat created Captain Jack and anything he does I'll be there to watch. CAPTAIN AMERICA please MARVEL - this is the guy !!
Bones, US on October 3rd, 2009
One word: AWESOME YOU LOT! ok maybe three worlds but thanks digital spy for feeding the JB fixation. He's hyper and I love it! He's the kinda of guy you just want to be in a room with and start singing Cole Porter songs.

Here's what I say: If John wants to say that Captain Jack will always be there when The Doctor needs him and calls for him, then I am willing to take him at his word (after all, maybe The Doctor does not end up needing him or does not call for him) Also, what if The Master doesn't technically come back and it's just a dream sequence or something? That's always possible, people!

Aww, I got all excited there for a moment when he said the new music was all "musical based". I sooo want a 'La Cage Aux Folles' cast album with him and Simon Burke and Tracie Bennett. There aren't any really great La Cage cast albums available. Their one could be definitive and it would SELL. Come on. Someone badger them into it! PS - Those Cagelles girls/boys are fabulous. I LOVE Dane. He's hilarious in the show. PPS - John is SUCH a bad liar. Glad to hear he's planning (ie: making room in his schedule for) more Torchwood next year. I too hope they do a proper 13 episode series this time. The more Captain Jack on our screens the better. (And, DAMNIT, YES, I hope Ianto is in it! There's no good reason he can't come back. They may die young in Torchwood, it may be a dangerous job, it may've been the right choice for such a bleak trigger-happy narrative, but that doesn't mean he can't come back! Nothing precludes it. I will concede no writerly excuses on this matter! Indulge no attempts at justification! A full-on Christ-like resurrection for our dear Ianto or nothing. End of. So ner. ;-P )

Torchwood without Ianto. No with me. If Ianto stay dead, it's illogic. If Jack love him so much, he should do something to save him. I find that curious too you cut the video when he talk about Ianto. It's long BBC to give a go to another season (for a season 3 who have been so awesome and the good ratings).

Thanks Neil, Chris, & Digitalspy for a great JB interview. I'm sure you've been able to remove that mic from wherever JB shoved it...I had no idea his schedule is nearly booked until 2012. It's great to hear that he as all but admitted that he's in the last DT helmed Doctor Who. As someone else mentioned, I'm fed up with the Beeb's (BBC) unwillingness to give timely information regarding both Doctor Who and a series 4 of Torchwood. I was also shocked by the death of Ianto and Steven. But considering that COE was written and designed to be "BBC event television", I understand, but disagree with these unnecessary character deaths. COE really made me think, especially in these days of anti-terrorist wars and increased security. Neil, congrats on a great interview. You gave JB a good go by asking excellent questions, and pressing for great answers. How did you get him to do the extra insider interview? I hope you have the opportunity to interview him again during Panto in Cardiff this winter. Thanks again for this great insight into the business of John Barrowman.

Not sure JB deserve's the slam about a big ego...but everyone's entitled to an opinion. I too loved the Jack/Ianto relationship and would have loved it if Ianto had lived. But really, I don't think Gwen's dying would have had the same type of impact on the viewers. That moment (Ianto's death) stunned me. And remember, Jack had to be in the "darkest" place ever to even think of agreeing to Steven's sacrifice...and Ianto's death put him there. RTD/Julie might want a TW S4 that is all about Gwen, but I just don't think it will pull in the viewers if that were so. Those of you who think that JB has GDL envy are mistaken imo.

Thanks for the nice interview. It`s good to hear John`s view on COE like it was. I hope that there is a series 4 with Captain Jack in it cause there is more good on the horizon. I didn`t hear any GDL envy ,why should he envy him. John has his own carriere,at this point most an even longer and in my humble opinion a more varied carriere the GDL has. They don`t make it a competetion between them so why should the fans, jeez. I loved the comments about la cage aswell.
Cathy, Victoria on October 1st, 2009
Um...did I miss something? I didn't notice any GDL envy. He was asked a question and answered it...and since the interview is supposed to be about John Barrowman, not Gareth David Lloyd, I didn't expect him to dwell on it to the detriment of the rest of the interview. At one time, I thought RTD might have brought Ianto back in some way (flashbacks or whatever...), but with people insisting he HAS to, I now doubt he will. That kind of talk tends to get people's backs up...it would mine.

Thank you so much for yet more video interviews with the wonderful John Barrowman. He is articulate, charming and an entertainer to his fingertips.
Suz, The Hub on October 1st, 2009
Great interview with John! I'm looking forward to seeing what season 4 brings. More adventures for our dashing Capt please! I'd love for the show to go back in time to Victorian Jack, or WW2 Jack. Come on BBC, please write this :D
Han, London on October 1st, 2009
Fingers crossed for a TW series 4. Loved COE and the previous two series. Series 3 was such a success it would be such a shame not have another series. Come on BBC, announce it already!!!
Marion Paillat, France on October 1st, 2009
Great interview! Keep 'em coming! I think he'll be 'guesting' in Dr Who but just in snatches as it has to fit in with all of his other engagements. Roll on Torchwood ON CONDITION that it's more upbeat than Series 3 which left me shattered and disillusioned. As for Desperate Housewives that would be great provided that they write just the right role for him - I can see Bree being destabilised by his charm, that's for sure! Long may he reign!
Wolfi, On the planet Torchwood on October 1st, 2009
Supposedly, according to the "Hysterical Nine" women, DS is in cahoots with RTD and JB in keeping GDL from coming back to Torchwood 4, so that they can make it "All About Gwen". Lord, love a duck with those crazy ladies and that one French Canadian dude.
Mary, The U.S. on October 1st, 2009
Mr. Barrowman you need to check you ego at the door. There seems to be a little GDL envy showing.
Cathy, Victoria on October 1st, 2009
Loved the interview. He's always good entertainment...not one of those grouchy interviewees. For those complaining about his remarks around COE...what do you expect? If he wants to work in the show again, he's not going to trash RTD or decisions that were made by the writers/director/producers. I and many others certainly want another series of Torchwood. I was gutted by the deaths of Ianto and Steven, just as I was by those of Tosh and Owen...but I loved Children of Earth. (I would have liked a little less of Gwen and Frobisher, but I'm not going to whine about it.)
Kat, Glasgow on October 1st, 2009
Re: future Torchwood - I totally love John and Capt. Jack but a Torchwood without Ianto, without the Jack and Ianto relationship or even worse a Torchwood with a "REPLACEMENT for Ianto" would be unwatchable to me. I can't believe or accept a Jack who won't do anything to have his Ianto back. It was love, wasn't it? So Jack just can't move on to the next 'boy toy'. *That* would really mean cheapening Ianto's death.
Patricia, Paris France on October 1st, 2009
Many thanks for this interview and many thanks to John! In France we do not have a lot of opportunities to see him; hence it is always good to see video interviews. John is always such a great personality to watch! I just want to add that I so agree with Cate: we love John but COE was such a disaster for some of us that Torchwood will never be the same without a MAJOR reset. It is not just the death of Ianto. This death is just the tip of the iceberg, the symbol of what went wrong with COE: the fact that a big part of the old fans feel betrayed, the difficulty to understand the added-value of destroying the image of our dashing captain, of destroying the hub, of destroying the Jack/Ianto relationship we just started to explore better and finally the show as it was, the difficulty to understand the point, the difficulty to get answers (other than "people die young in Torchwood - please stop hammering this one to my head, it's painful- or “someone had to die” -this one is also difficult to hear; nobody has to die in a fiction - it is a choice - it is not real life or do you have aliens in Cardiff and I missed it?), the misleading pre-publicity, the fact that everyone tells us that the show is great because it is hurting and we are even able to mourn Ianto (I watch TV to entertain myself and not to be hurt or able to mourn!). At the end it is a full disaster and I still don't understand the point. Was it really not possible to get new viewers and good ratings without upsetting the old fans like this? I doubt it. To conclude: we love you so much John but CEO challenged this love a lot (we know that you are an actor supposed to play the script but at the end you are nevertheless part of this mess in the view of a part of the fans) and a “new piece of ass” in the next season will not improve the situation, on the contrary! Because Ianto is now the symbol of the show we loved and which was destroyed and because Ianto is the half of Jack/Ianto and not just a plot device...Or was it just this? Such pre-publicity for such a minor character?

oh i love to see him DHW he show that bre and he just so fab yay for JB
Tracie, USA on October 1st, 2009
Of course he's back on Who for the last specials...not only is John a terrible liar, but he's been photographed on set. I believe Russell has publicly mentioned it as well at this point. John is a solid actor, and I am certain he's make a great addition to Desperate Housewives. Fun interview and tour...thanks Digital Spy and John Barrowman! =)
Chris, Production Manager, Digital Spy on October 1st, 2009
Hi Kate - all we edited out was Neil's question to John. As you may have noticed, our mic was playing up and here it was particularly bad, so I snipped out the question. Nothing exciting missing, promise! And yes, we've still not managed to get the mic out...
Cate, NYC on October 1st, 2009
John, I love you, I do but your ego is starting to grate on my nerves! And, to answer your question, No, we don't want more Torchwood without Ianto. RTD destroyed everything good about the show and without a MAJOR reset... I think you've lost your audience.
Alex, Essex on October 1st, 2009
Great interview with John barrowman. He saids something to the interviewer too... which I won't reveal , but its to do with the mic. I wonder if Captain Jack is returning and it seems he more or less confirmed it on the interview. Really exciting to see , but he just saids "WATCH this space..."

Evie, Manchester on October 1st, 2009
John is such a great interviewee. Fingers crossed for a series 4 of TW, and another series of Tonight's the Night. Oh, and for John to be on the new BBC Dorothy show - they'd be mad not to have him as a judge!
Dee, London on October 1st, 2009
Fantastic interview - loved the cute comment about his perfect man being his partner. Ahhhh :D
Jippy, Canada on September 30th, 2009
What was edited out? You cut it. why? What he say before he talks about Ianto's and people be upset. What he say because the video is pretty clear you cut it. Also it's me or he seem to be a little upset GDL have much more attention.
Kate, Canada on September 30th, 2009
Just wondering what was edited out? You know, right before he talks about Ianto's demise, and people being upset about it? Looks just a little conspicuous, considering that the rest of the video is one one big unedited chunk. What did he say that had to be taken out?

What a great couple of videos. Thank you Digital Spy, and thank you John Barrowman. Of course he is coming back to Dr. Who for David's last show. How could they not have him there to bid farewell to the Dr. and fight the Master. I am so looking forward to the next couple of years full of John Barrowman.
Lissa, Lincolnshire on September 30th, 2009
Lol that was great!
Annie on September 30th, 2009
Wow, getting bitchy there John! Jealous that Gareth David-Lloyd is getting some attention too? Someone needs to grow up and get over themselves.
Minnie on September 30th, 2009
Wooohooo! Loved that the interview cut off when john grabbed the mic.
Mike, Germany on September 30th, 2009
Just want to say a huge thank you for thierview. As most sourches like BBC shut us fans from outside the UK out of their trailers, podcasts etc, you are one of the few sources we can relay on for news. It's always nice to see and hear John. So pelase stay infatuated with him and keep coming more.
