The 43-year-old has fronted the reality series for six years and an impressive eleven seasons, most recently in Guatemala. Filming will shortly begin on the twelth instalment, Probst's last under his current contract.
Inside TV says that Probst will not sign a new contract beyond that, citing his desire to start a family with girlfriend Julie Berry, an ex-contestant on the show.
The AP adds that former players will be considered as replacements if Probst quits.
