New 'Survivor' season to simulcast online
Published Thursday, Feb 2 2006, 12:43 GMT | By Neil Wilkes

Viewers will have to pay $1.99 (£1.10) to download each episode, which can then be watched for up to 24 hours from the time of ordering.
New episodes will be uploaded to CBS.com each Thursday night after the West Coast airing of the show (9pm PT / 5am Friday UK).
"This is a first in network television," said Les Moonves, CBS president. "Never before has primetime hit programming been available for a fee on a wholly-owned website."
The move also marks the first time UK viewers will be able to watch new episodes of Survivor; no broadcaster has yet to air the show beyond its first season.
Survivor Panama: Exile Island premieres tonight (Thursday) in the US.
