ITV is scheduling this week's edition of Survivor: Panama in a "peak" primetime slot.
The programme will go out at 9pm tomorrow evening, earlier than the regular time of 9.45pm. The move will test the water for the possibility of shifting the programme into the channel's mainstream scheduling portfolio.
Up until this point, the reality show has rested in the background of the lineup, after a highly public disappointment last summer with the first series. So far, Survivor: Panama has held a steady average of over 4m in the late peak slot, and has been progressively rising over the past couple of weeks.
This week's edition will feature the log-standing challenge, a task which proved to be among the most compelling of those from the first series.
Survivor: Panama airs on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV1, with Survivor: Raw following on ITV2 at 10pm.
