Barrowman drops 'Torchwood' hints
Torchwood star John Barrowman has spoken about Freema Agyeman's upcoming move to the Doctor Who spin off in the role of Martha Jones for three episodes.

"It's a perfect progression for her character," declared the Captain Jack actor to Sci Fi Wire, "because she develops such a strong character by the end of [Season] Three. So if Jack needs help, who else is he going to call? Jack trusted her to save the world. So did The Doctor. So who are you going to call? Martha Jones."

Barrowman also revealed that more of his character's intriguing back story will be uncovered, particularly concerning the events between Captain Jack's rebirth at the end of the first season of Doctor Who and the beginning of Torchwood. "He had to live through it to get to the point where The Doctor came back.," he said. "In [Season] Two of Torchwood there's some of that revealed."
