Torchwood star Eve Myles has revealed that her character Gwen Cooper will stop cheating on her boyfriend in the new series - despite harbouring feelings for Captain Jack.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the Welsh actress said that Gwen remains faithful to her boyfriend Rhys in the second season, despite her fling last year with colleague Owen Harper and flirtations with boss Captain Jack Harkness.
"In the second series she's completely monogamous ... there's a wedding," stated Myles. "She fights everyday to be with [Rhys]. Obviously Jack is a huge temptation - for men and for women, for dogs and for cats. For everybody! They have that unrequited love I suppose - that's what makes it interesting."
Although Myles believes that Gwen is "far more serious and grounded" in the upcoming episodes, she also feels that viewers will still be able to relate to her experiences: "She's always going to be in awe of everything she sees, or else she will lose the connection with the audience."
