New 'Torchwood' is funnier, claims Davies
Torchwood creator Russell T Davies has revealed that the show's second season will contain more laughs, but without losing the darker elements.

"Sometimes the stresses of getting the show made showed on screen last [series]," Davies exclusively told Digital Spy. Consequently, the showrunner injected "more sense of humour" into the upcoming episodes.

"[Humour] expands the palette of the whole thing," he explained. "When you've got more light, you can do more shade. As a result, some of our darker episodes are darker than ever this year... I particularly recommend Chris Chibnall's episode 11 this year."

Davies then revealed a few tantalising hints about the content of that particular story: "It's Gwen. Alone. Searching for missing children in Cardiff. That's all I'm saying. It's a beautiful piece of work."
