Barrowman: Captain Jack 'needs to lighten up'
Published Wednesday, Jan 16 2008, 09:37 GMT | By Ben Rawson-Jones

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Barrowman revealed that Jack is "still determined, still focused... but he has got his humour back. He was dark and heavy last year - he needs to lighten up a little bit."
The actor suggested that the immortal Time Agent's return to the Tardis facilitated the change: "Jack has resolved his issues with The Doctor in 'Utopia' and 'Last Of The Time Lords'. He comes back as the Jack you knew in series one of Doctor Who, who is a little more fun and lighthearted."
Barrowman also joked that Captain Jack's eventual transition into Doctor Who character The Face of Boe will be problematic for his looks: "I think there wouldn't be enough 'Boe-tox' to keep the wrinkles out if you were the size of The Face Of Boe."
