S01E06: 'Countrycide'
The Torchwood crew investigate the remote Welsh countryside after skinned, fleshless corpses are discovered in the area.

Setting up camp, the team soon discovers they are battling against a cunning enemy as they fall victim to diversion tactics and have their vehicle stolen. Using a tracking device they locate the car at a nearby village that appears deserted. They suspect a trap but nonetheless decide to proceed.

The team splits into two groups to search the houses for signs of life, but discover that death is far more prevalent within. Jack and Gwen finally locate a survivor, but he initially mistakes them for enemies and shoots Gwen in the stomach. Along with Owen, who lovingly tends to his wounded colleague, they barricade themselves into a house as the darkness approaches and the enemy circles in.

Meanwhile, Toshiko and Ianto are soon captured by the unknown enemy and quickly realise they are due to be an item on their menu. But what is the identity of the diners and why are they harvesting humans?

Its my favorite episode out of the whole first series! You Ianto in a completly different light and that he isnt just a receptionist. The reationship between jack and Gwen really starts to blossom!! Well Done Torchwood!!!

Was it just me or was there nothing alien about this episode whatsoever? I was a little diappointed but it did creep me out a little.

I thought this was much better than previous episodes and they should keep giving Ianto a bigger role. Also, Jack is a legend and Owen and Gwen having an 'affair' is good as well. Keep this standard up Torchwood writers!
