A schoolboy called Eugene performs disastrously at a mathematics competition and incurs the wrath of both pupils and father alike. But a teacher attempts to lift his spirits by giving him a supposedly alien 'eyeball' that has fallen to the ground out of the sky.
Eugene keeps this extraterrestrial artefact with him, but one day springs to consciousness from the middle of the road - and realises he is having an out of body experience and that his real body has been hit by a car and lies dead on the tarmac.
The invisible lad is already acquainted with the Torchwood crew after trying, and failing, to interest them in the alien eye. In particular, he has a soft spot for Gwen Cooper, who he now trails as she tries to discover the circumstances leading to his death.
With parts of his memory missing, Eugene also embarks upon a voyage of discovery into his own death that takes in his estranged father, some bizarre footwear photos and an elaborate eBay scam alomg the way. But why is this young man still alive and what consequences does his existence have?

It still kept our attention. It made ya wonder where else the story could've gone. This one is different. That is why I watch Torchwood.
