S01E10: 'Out Of Time'

A vintage plane lands at an airfield in modern Cardiff to be greeted on the tarmac by the Torchwood crew. It transpires that the passengers took off in the 1950s and have somehow flown through the rift into a different time zone. The chances of a return are slim to none.

The newly arrived trio are female pilot Diane, middle aged John and a young lady named Emma.
They all make efforts to integrate into modern day life and are shocked by their visit to a supermarket, where they discover that flesh, as well as CDs, are a valuable commodity in the contemporary world. Soon their ties become deeper and they become tangled within the new world they have found themselves in.

Diane embarks upon a passionate relationship with Owen Cooper, that develops into a close spiritual bond. Emma stays with Gwen, with the pair using a cover story to try and conceal the truth from the former copper's boyfriend Rhys. Emma, however, decides that she has quite the taste for the Cardiff nightlife. John, meanwhile, goes on a harrowing journey to locate the whereabouts of his son, by now an elderly man with time not on his side.

As modern life turns sour for the trio, the consequences have emotional repercussions for the members of Torchwood...
