What can you tell us about the opener of season ten?
"The premiere will have a lot of iconic images. Some will be nods to the past and some will be new ones, so there will be something a little familiar about it."
We're looking forward to some treats in terms of returning characters throughout the season. Who can we expect?
"Well, John Schneider is coming back for the premiere, and I can tell you, there's nothing better than seeing Papa Kent on that farm again. It's really emotional, it's a really, really wonderful part of the premiere to have him back. And then Supergirl's coming back, Laura [Vandervoort] is coming back, in episode three. She comes back in a new way - I think Supergirl fans will be very very happy. They're going to see some very iconic images of her, so that'll be fun."
Have you got the entire season mapped? Do you know how the last scene will play out?
"We know the last scene. We've known the last scene for a long time and we know a lot, actually for the finale. We've been doing a wishlist of what we wanted in it for years, so it'll be jam-packed with goodies."
Are you sad to be ending the show now? Could you have carried on a little longer?
"You know it's funny, I don't think anybody would have thought that the show would have gone for ten years. Every year you come to the end event and you're like 'wow, it's been on for so long and it's done so much, how could we possibly do more?'. And at the beginning of every season we have more ideas than we can even do, so we're having literally to throw ideas out, so I feel like Superman could go on for eternity."
