Producers of the E4 drama are hoping to find new talent to showcase in the programme.
Hopefuls, who must be over 18 years old, can submit their songs on the E4 website but all tracks must be original, with no samples or covers allowed.
Skins' music supervisor Kyle Lynd said: "This year we are looking to expose brilliant new music, regardless of genre, from underground artists and bedroom producers who have yet to have their music heard."
Fans who upload their tracks could see them featured in a blog or even used on the show.
Him & Her star Sarah Solemani recently revealed that she has a role in the new series of Skins.
However, Peaches Geldof has claimed that the series "gives a bad name to modern adolescence".
Skins is due to return for its new series early next year.
