'Skins': Series six promotional photos - Gallery

January might not be the most welcoming month - it's all a bit chilly and grey. So it's just as well that staying in is a pretty attractive option with all the fabulous television that's coming up.

One of our most-anticipated returns has to be series six of Skins, of course. So when we got our hands on these brand new and beautiful promo photos, we couldn't wait to share them with you! Aren't they gorgeous?

As well as seeing our favourites from series five, it's also our first chance to get a proper glimpse at newbie Sam Jackson, who's joining the cast as Alex. Exciting, right?

We're also getting return guest appearances from Chris Addison, Giles Thomas, John Sessions, Clare Grogan, Dan Black and Josie Long - while new stars popping up include Fenella Fielding, Liza Tarbuck, Isy Suttie, Sarah Solemani, Karl Theobald, Dawn Porter and Joe Cole!

As if that wasn't enough, Channel 4's commissioning editor Ben Stoll said it'll be an "explosive and richly dramatic series" and will go "where others daren't", while the show's exec John Griffin said it'll be the "most exciting and adventurous" bunch of episodes yet...

Trust us when we say - without giving anything away - that this series of Skins sounds like it'll be shocking, twisty-turny and thoroughly entertaining! What will happen to our Roundview gang? We'll have to wait and see... but in the meantime, feast your eyes on the promotional photos in our gallery below.

Skins will return to E4 in January.
